Jan 19 - a day in the closet

Yes, it was that kind of day.  We finally re-organized Sandy's walk-in closet.  Having stuff hanging on both sides of the closet and wire shelving were driving her crazy.  Personally I like the wire shelving.  It doesn't get dusty.  Sandy doesn't like the lines on her clothes :).

It adds up when you start buying these shelving units but they give you more flexibility than a DIY.  I also hate putting these things together.  So many little cams and tiny nails for gussets ... I'm not sure whether a couple of hours doing this is better or worse than mowing the lawn.  I told Sandy that if I end up in Hell, surely God or the Devil will have me assembling these made-in-China closet units.  At the end of the day it was at least better to do these with the TV on in the bedroom to provide some distraction.

Once I removed all the wire shelving of course I had to run a knife and drywall compound over all the little holes. Then it would be a shame to start using the closet without taking advantage of it's emptiness and painting the walls and the ceiling, so I did that too.  Yes, it was a full day in the closet.

Today Jeff comes and does the backsplash.  My agenda has yet to be written.  Sandy has a couple of routine appointments, dentist cleaning and doctor check-up, so she'll be in and out.

Onward ?  I sure hope so !
