Jan 20 - company's coming

We all have visitors.  Sheryl, Jimmy and Sandy (their dog) arrived mid afternoon yesterday.  They'll be here for a couple of days and then visit some friends in SW Florida, back here for a bit and then they have a house rented in Ormond by the Sea for the month of February.  It was their first time driving to Florida from Hemmingford; Sandy (the dog) was a little stressed from the travel but ok. Abby was happy to have extra company, the two of them ignore each other most of the time.

Jeff arrived mid morning to start tiling.  He got part-way through yesterday, finding working with the glass tiles a bit slow.  He was having some trouble cutting them with the saw and went back to his shop and brought the score-and-break cutter (don't know what else to call it) which seems to work better.  You wouldn't think that glass has a grain, but he was able to cut the tiles lengthwise using the tile saw but they'd chip/break when he tried to cut the widthwise.

Sandy has chosen "stacked" as the look and it does look good & modern.  He'll be back again this morning to, hopefully, put in a full day and get this over with.

I mostly finished up the work in Sandy's closet and added a shelf to mine, one of the removed wire shelves from Sandy's.  That was about it for chores / projects.

What else ... pork loin for dinner, on the grill naturally.  Another day was done.

Today, not sure.  I'd like to get out for a ride but that remains to be seen as I have to be here to assist Jeff with a couple of things.

It's cold up north.  I see -29.  It's cold in Reading PA as well, going down to 0F tonight.  We too are going to see some cold, down to 34F tonight.  On that scale, I'll stay here.

Onward !
