Jan 23 - a cool one

It's unusual for me to go on a day ride around here with three layers up top, leg warmers and full fingered gloves but the sun was out, no rain in sight and the time was right.  It's not much cooler this morning than it was for the entire ride yesterday !

Jeff was here again, finishing up the tile.  Today he comes to grout, which won't take long.

Sandy, Sheryl and Jimmy went to the Springs to see the manatees.  Apparently there are a couple of hundred in residence at this point, due to cold water in the ICW and they're all over one another.  They had to wait in queue to get into the Springs (the drivers that is).

Would you call these "babes in arms ?"   I guess not, manatees don't have arms.

Speaking of babes, apparently Zoe has started walking.  Oh oh !

I got home about 5:30, showered and changed, hand a snack and we headed over to Peter's Wine Shop for a wine tasting.  We did find one that we like (Jim and I) and bought a couple of six-packs.  Sandy picked up a dozen white wines and we also brought home our wine club wines for January.

From there we went to the SYC for dinner, expecting that the Pasta Bar had already closed for the night but he was still working ... great !  We ate well and heartily !

Another day was done.

Jim and Sheryl head to the west coast (FL) today to visit some friends.  I'll be here with the girls for the weekend -- Sandy, Sandy and Abby.

Sandy's car is still at the shop.  I'll check in with Holmes today and see how it's coming.  I'm in no rush !  He's keeping our driveway clear :).

Onward !
