Jan 22 - there's a next time for everything ?

It was the next time that I went to the gym or, rather the first time for 2014, take your pick.  I thought that a workout might leave me sore but this morning I felt fine ... until I started with some weights and felt the carryover effects of the first day !

I saw John at the gym (Smyrna Athletic Club) and we had a chat, but at this point I'm working on my own, checking out the limits of my right rotator cuff and left tennis elbow ...

I finished up the work that I was doing in Sandy's closet, cutting three small shelves and picking up some shelf supports at HD.

Jimmy and I took Sandy's car over to Holmes (Holmes on Cars vs Holmes on Homes ?) and, after he checked it over, we're holding off at this point on doing the clutch.  He figures that it has a lot more life left.  The banging at the rear was a broken spring and the rear shocks were shot, basically frozen.  The front struts are ok and the front driveshafts/axles need replacing ... I knew about those.  So ... I gave him the go-ahead.  The nice thing about having the car down here is that if we find that we want to do more, once those are corrected, it's easy.  Up north, it's not so easy.

Speaking of cars, the tires that Jimmy ordered were delivered yesterday and right now he's at Tire Kingdom getting them installed.  He also wants to do a wheel alignment, which they can do.  He'll call me for a pick-up if it's going to take too long.

Jeff Albert was here and continued work on the backsplash.  His son Jeff was helping him for a while.  I'm so happy that he's doing the work with these glass tiles as many of them break no matter how careful he is cutting them.  He has one small section to finish this morning and will grout the entire area tomorrow morning.

Jerry Christensen also has a son Jeff ... I guess that was a popular name at that point in time !

What else ... that's pretty much it.  We had shrimp on the barbie with cauliflower (yellow cauliflower) and broccoli and rice.  I made some Easter bread and we had that for desert.  It must have been desert because we were eating it after dinner, right ?

Today ... I should go for a bike ride but I'll check the weather first.  It's cold out, shows 32F right now but that's better than -17F up north !

Onward ...
