It was reading over 90F on the ride yesterday. Not really being used to that, we were both pretty cooked by the end of the ride ! Jerry couldn't even ride an extra two miles to get to the DQ !
Some would consider this quite a boring ride, south on US 1 then Merritt Island, across to Titusville, back on US 1 to Palm Shores, then north all the way on US 1. There are some pretty views along the way but lots of traffic. It was worse than usual through Cocoa, as there was construction on the southbound side.
Coming into Cocoa, Jerry said that he needed something to eat. Let's wait for a Subway, I said. Well, we got to the turnaround without spotting one so we had to "feast" on sandwiches from the convenience store ...yucch. On the way back, sure enough there was a Subway in Cocoa that we'd ridden right by -- my excuse is that we were distracted by the construction traffic.
We went out to dinner last night, courtesy of Jim and Jerry. That's Amore was chosen by Sandy and Sheryl. The food was great but the place was hopping, very noisy. We ate in the back patio -- didn't even know that it was there; now we do. Unfortunately it too is closed in, so no relief from the noise.
Today it's supposed to be cloudy. We'll ride again. Sheryl and Jim and Sandy-doggie are leaving around 7am, destination Dublin ... Dublin VA.
Speaking of Dublin, after much searching, it appears that we have bookings in London and Paris and we have our Ferries to/from Dublin and of course our flights all booked. Now we have to nail down the cars and we'll be set for the time being. We are making progress.
I should do a mini review of the iPhone 5, from my perspective:
The Good:
-- can now browse the internet, watch videos etc. which I couldn't really do on the Blackberry Storm 2;
-- it's a lot faster
The Bad, really all keyboard related:
-- On the BB, I could rotate the keyboard for all purposes, but cannot do so on the iPhone
-- Although I didn't have an "actual" keyboard, the BB virtual keyboard produced a tactile feel/click when you used it
The BB was simpler, because it's less capable, but that was expected.
Onward ...
