Full of energy, I had stuff to do. Perhaps it was doing my taxes that drained my energy ? At any rate, no Harley'ing yesterday, did go to Publix, did mail my taxes, did have a very short snooze, didn't see the SpaceX launch (it was scrubbed), did sort out a Quicken problem under W7, did sort out the domain transfer, did order a refurb Garmin 705 to replace my increasingly flaky unit, did check with George Perrin re the lawn mowing since it's pretty lush right now (he had been in the hospital for a few days), did do some bicycle cleaning, didn't take the bike rack off the X5 (realized that this a.m. going to the gym), did have salmon for dinner w/rice&peas ...
It was that kind of day, kind of blended in, one thing leading to another without any clear purpose.
Dick and Nuala had been thinking of leaving yesterday but Dick slept in so they spent the day on the beach and were going to be heading out early this morning.
A friend's (Renato) Mom passed away on Sunday night, noted in Facebook yesterday. She was 71. Yikes. Apparent heart attack in her sleep. At one point 71 was ancient. Now it's young because I'm closer to that age and because ... well because. That brought back memories ... things done and not done, car trips from the cottage to Philadelphia with my Mom while I spent the entire time on business calls rather than using that quality time. Dick and I were talking about those types of things on the way back from our weekend ride and that was BEFORE we heard about Renato.
I'm not sure if I'll bike today. I might opt for Wednesday and Friday this week. Three of the gang arrive Friday night -- David, Kim and Megan.
W7 is running now. XP isn't. XP was yesterday as I did my taxes, W7 in the background also running.
I got a call yesterday from one of those so-called Windows Support People. What a joke. If I had more patience I'd string them along. Perhaps next time I'll tell them that I'm running Windows 3.1 ... so what's the problem again ? It would be fun to setup a 3.1 virtual machine, just for the groan factor but what could I do with it ?
My computer is moving forward, onward, and so am I.
