Apr 2 - easy rolling

Yes, rolling again.  The LCLRB meeting took just over an hour so I wasn't even rushed.  It was a delightful ride south on a delightful day.  May there be many more !

We went to the latest incarnation of Beni's Sushi for dinner.  We used to visit the sushi place close to the Saxon house quite regularly and then it closed.  He then opened on Flagler, sort of, with Poke lunches and selling fresh fish, but the prices for the fish were outlandish and I guess that his rent to John was equally outlandish and he just walked away from that.  Now he's a little bit west of that spot, on Cooper just a hundred feet north of Flagler.  He's got limited seating - Angelika counted 18 - and a couple of outdoor tables.  The food was great, what we expect from him.  May this one last longer !

Dick and Nuala arrive today, their first visit to NSB.  I talked to Dick yesterday and they were visiting friends in Ocala.  Angelika leaves today; there will be, oh, 4-6 hours between visitors ?

I haven't really driven the X1 much, only here from the dealership and to/from the gym.  It's not my cup of tea, being used to the larger, heavier car (either the M5 or the X5), but it is well done.  I like the fact that it doesn't have iDrive.  The engine is certainly quieter at idle than the diesel !

Speaking of the diesel, I'm supposed to pick that car up today.  Hopefully that will come through.  I exchanged emails with Kelly on something and she's asked me to do an online review.  I guess she doesn't realize how frustrated I've been with Fields in general and, to a a certain extent, that has to reflect on her.  How do I do this kindly ?  I'll have to look at the review questions to see what to do.  I want to be kind to her but also to other customers of Fields.

Dick and Nuala are here until Monday mid-day at which point they "move" into their "own place" at the Best Western for a week.  I'm not sure how much Dick will want to ride but he needs to get into shape for the 600k next weekend.  It won't be every day like Jerry, with Nuala here, but I still expect him to attack this.

Dick is a runner too and instructs runners.  He did a 30k run last Sunday before heading south.  He's hit a number of the interesting marathons -- London, Berlin, Athens -- to mention a few.  These guys all put me to shame -- he turns 70 next year; Jerry turns 68 -- with these guys either in my sights or rear view mirror, I can't claim "age" is slowing me down !  Jerry rides faster & stronger; Dick has multiple sports ... sheesh.  I need to find better friends !

I had John at the Gym again this morning and came back soaked.  No, it didn't rain.  He setup a series of about a dozen things in the yoga room and I did each for 30 seconds and then moved onto the next; a total body workout.  Sandy is really improving with Jessica, doing things that she's never done before.  Perhaps Nuala will inspire her -- she's training for her first half-marathon.  Another sheesh !

Today I'll do some stuff around here.  D&N are due after lunch sometime.
