Actually the milk says it all. Half & Half, skim, 2% lactose free, whole milk ... we almost need a separate fridge for milk ! Add in the extra juices, hot dogs, apple sauce, berries, yogurt ... you get the idea.
Let's see ... the car wasn't going to be ready on the 23rd; BMW brought in the wrong part. However, they did rent an SUV for me, a Dodge Journey that was spacious enough to pick up Jeffrey et al. David and I drove to the dealership to pick up the vehicle late on Wednesday so that on Thursday I could pick up the gang at the airport. Yesterday I drove back to the dealership and swapped the Journey for my X5.
It turned out that the problems with the X5 weren't the injectors themselves. The Diesel Exhaust Fluid tank had to be replaced because the internal sensor had failed and some other fuel sensor had gone at the same time. Let's see, has the car now been in the service bay for 7 days ? 1 day for trailer hitch and locking diagnostics; 1 day for locking repair and A/C diagnostics; 2 days for A/C and now 3 days for Emissions issues. Ok, 1 day for me and 6 days for BMW. Hmmm. This isn't good. Needless to say I'm investigating extended warranties !
The Reading Thompsons were on time, unlike the Barrie Thompsons. It seems that Frontier did better than Southwest. We were back here in good time. Zoe had a good afternoon but then got really fussy. She slept through the night, however, having taken over our ensuite bathroom as her bedroom. What the heck. She's up and lively now.
In maintenance mode, David and I changed the Harley battery. It was due. In so-doing, a couple of plastic clips that hold a side piece of sheet metal in place don't seem to be able to do so any more. David picked up a couple of new ones -- worth a couple of bucks, right ? Nope. $20 each for these plastic clips. Gimme a break ! I could use twist ties or cable ties ! Of course they wouldn't have HD stamped on the plastic.
Today ... not sure. We'll find something to do. Tomorrow -- Jeffrey, Emma, David, Kim and Megan will go to Disney. I'll be riding my 600k, leaving here around 1:30 a.m. for a 4:00 a.m. start. It's going to be hot !
Onward ....
