Dang ... 4-wheeler just won't start. I suspect that the 3-wheeler is the same but I've got to deal with the workhorse first, take it down to Parry Sound next week.
Dang ... It took me a couple of hours to get the dock up onto it's ledge and then it rained. A lot. Now it floats free over that ledge. It looks like the water has gone up 5-6 inches from that point. Actually I just checked the online water level official Environment Canada site and the water has risen from 7.96 meters to just over 8.10 meters or 5.46 inches. There you have it. Floating the dock up is (would have been) a lot easier than jacking it up !
I setup the yellow bike on the trainer and did that for a while as well as used the elliptical. The foot beds on the elliptical are a little to wide apart for me, unfortunately. My feet are closer together than that when I walk, run or bike. I also used the weights. I did all this as I re-watched The Hobbit, part 1. I wanted to see that again before I watch part 2.
Sandy cleaned house and did washing; all the stuff leftover from Christmas. The clothesline got some work.
I did fuss around with our connection for a while. Emails weren't going out, only coming in. I could send emails with gmail, using smtp.pobox.com but not with Outlook. That made it look like Xplornet was blocking pobox ... these things happen. I contacted David, who couldn't access pobox either, confirming that it wasn't an Xplornet thing and then Sara tried, same result and conclusive. Shortly afterwards service started coming back. Pobox support also responded to my email that their servers had gone down.
We had dinner with Jason, Lo and Gavin. The special of the day was wings, always good, especially after Jason has done a marinade. I'm too lazy for that kind of prep. Later that evening Mike, Jill and Kyle were supposed to arrive.
Jason had big news --
1st, they have a conditional offer on his parents house, which is next-door to theirs.
2nd, and even bigger news, they are going to be grandparents -- Jill, Mike's wife, is pregnant, due November 8, if I recall correctly.
Another day was done. It's 38F this a.m. so I won't be biking today either. I'll workout downstairs. My plan is to get out on Monday, when the weather turns nicer, a predicted high of 17C. Sunday is also an option, predicted high of 13C ... i.e. mid 50's. Rats.
I think that Jason has plans today to cut up the tree that fell in their yard. I'll likely give them a hand with that; two people cutting and two people hauling should make short work. Gavin will have more firewood.
Onward ...
