In this case, not a Bud, Coors, or any of those other libations, simply a cool day. As a result, there were no bugs and none today either, I suspect, since it's 32F out there right now ! That won't last though as the temps are supposed to start cranking up.
I got the Whaler going, which really wasn't too much trouble. I went to put the 4-wheeler into the new trailer and realized that it's too wide ... the bike that is. Length and height are ok but as the song goes -- "two out of three ain't bad" ... but in this case, that won't do.
I have too many choices. Right now it's sitting on a piece of plywood on the Whaler boat trailer. I could also put it in the 5x8 ... and Jim has offered me his flatbed. The 3-wheeler would fit into the new trailer and I suspect that at some point it will go in for service too. I haven't started it yet but it had the same problem started at Christmas as the 4-wheeler has now.
While I was up in the barn, Abby was content to hang around outside. She loves it up here. So many smells, chipmunks and squirrels to chase, people next door, free reign of her territory.
Jason, meanwhile, was making noise next door, cutting up the fallen hemlock. Sure enough, carpenter ants had done the work at the base which brought it down. They do love hemlocks. Mike, Gavin & Kyle took away the brush and trunk pieces as Jason cut. Four of them made quick work until Jason hit a nail that was buried in the trunk, invisible. It made a mess of the chain but he took the sharpener to it.
Donny (or Donnie ?), Claudia and Isaac are in. I went over and said hello to Don. Nothing new there.
I talked to Jim and Sandy talked to Bonnie. Their plan is to come up tomorrow (Monday).
I did some bike cleanup in the basement. My time off is just about up; I'll be out on Monday by the looks of the weather. It's time to get "back in the saddle".
Onward ...
