There will be lots of errands as we get ready to leave.
Sandy's driver's side blinker is now fixed. The housing had a crack in it and it had about a cup of water inside. After months like that, the bulb had finally blown. The auto body shop had ordered the part and it only took about 15 minutes to replace. I now know how to get at that particular part but they were only charging me a few minutes labor and the part through them was cheaper than I could get it myself.
... and ... I now have another trailer. It looks like the little brother, or grandson, if you will, of the 5x8 box trailer that I have up north. It's not much higher than a bicycle inside (that's the idea, bikes will go in there) with space for some luggage too. 4x6 is what they call it. No more will we do our bi-annual travel between Florida and Ontario with the inside of the car loaded to the ceiling. Abby will now have space !
It took a lot of chasing to find the trailer. I had pretty well resigned myself to drive to mid Georgia but found someone about an hour away who'd just taken delivery of a 4x6 from the factory and was selling it at typical GA factory prices. There was a local guy with two in stock who was selling them for 40% more, kind-of retail vs wholesale. I've been thinking about this for a long time because I figure that the camber problems that I had with the old X5 were in part due to always being heavily loaded. No more.
This morning I'm finally going for my annual physical labs, so I haven't had coffee and cannot eat. They open at 6:30 and I'll be there ! My doctor's appointment had been set for next week but was cancelled by the doctor so I won't actually see her until the Fall but I'll get a copy of the labs next week before heading north. I know that if there's anything out of the ordinary, that she'll get me in anyway.
Sandy had an appointment in Ormond Beach for something; don't know what. Our dermatologist is out there and she gets facials etc. from their people. Her Endo is also out there and she'll have a follow-up appointment regarding the root canal on Monday, I think. She leaves Tuesday.
That's about it ... plan on biking today. Onward !
