May 11/12 - long and longer

Well, I'm at the cottage.  My trip went well.  I left at 3am, made many, many stops and arrived at 4am, give or take.  Included in there is a one hour snooze at the Onroute in Barrie.  I was feeling fine but I knew that all traffic would disappear once north of Barrie.

I tried to fill up Diesel at the service center in Parry Sound but they only had big clunky pumps that aren't compatible with the filling restrictor.  I had to use the adapter.  Well, the adapter doesn't allow the pump to sense full ... so a liter or so ended up on the ground.  At least diesel isn't easily flammable. I hope that all Ontario pumps aren't like this. 

Otherwise it was an easy trip. 

Sandy was having a good time until she was rear-ended doing an errand in Reading PA.  There's damage to her bumper and potentially the trunk.  We both spent lots of cell time yesterday sorting out the insurance issues.  She has now left the area and is on her way north and will hopefully arrive at Budds Collision in Oakville in time for them to do an estimate.  Sigh.

She said that the lady who hit her was really bitchy.  Why ?  We're the one who are out time and money.  She tried to claim to Sandy and the Police Officer that there was no damage to Sandy's car.  Right.  That car may have a few miles on it but it's basically pristine.   

I slept for a few hours here and then got the computer going, Xplornet connected, Vonage, etc etc.  It's now warmed up inside; not so outside.  Perhaps I need jeans instead of shorts.  I've got to unload the car.

I'll run into town today and pick up the mail, probably.  I'll see how the day unfolds.
