We had the Roads Board road tour yesterday, back home a little before 2pm. Prior to the actual tour, we met with Westwind and the Ministry of Natural Resources regarding logging activities this year. At the end of that conversation I brought up our dilemma at the end of Osprey -- a couple of docks dumped by one of our cottagers. Everyone knew the culprit; that went without saying.
Anyway, both the Ministry of Transportation and the MNR were behind me forcing the issue with the cottager. However, later that day, just a couple of hours after getting home, that same material was pushed down the slope by HB who had just finished up with his bulldozer at the dump. Rats. Ok, now we have more of a problem. I now have to go back to the Ministries to see if I have a leg to stand on asking the cottager to do something about this mess.
I haven't been able to figure out what is going on with the 4-wheeler. When I went to the end of the road and found that the material was moved, it stalled. It had also stalled earlier in the day, with Quick-Start being the only way to rescue it. I've found a video to watch which will hopefully show me how to get at the carburetor. There has to be dirt blocking gas flow. That's the only thing that makes sense.
The neighbours headed home late afternoon. They now have a second offer on Jason's parents house and need to do some negotiation. We're not sure if we'll see them again before heading to the U.K. ... I'm betting not but you never know. That's just over two weeks away at this point.
Sandy continued work on the yard; it looks good. I moved stuff up to the burn pile with the balky 4-wheeler. I also had to figure out something with respect to the pesky birds who were rebuilding their nest over the back door. I cut some pieces of lawn edging and placed them in the rafter slots. That should do the job.
Today ... perhaps it's going to rain ... if not I should go biking ... if so, I'll hit the trainer downstairs.
Onward !
