May 28 - small fry

Even smaller than fry, these were hatchlings, 200,000 of them ... pickerel that Jim and I took to various spots and added them to the lake.  Perhaps 1% will survive to eating size and we'll catch some pickerel (walleye) in a few years ?  Two large garbage cans full of hatchlings ...

I'd intended to start handing out letters to cottagers on the road regarding the turnaround but ended up moving wood down to the woodbox.  I'll go out this morning and deliver some letters.

Sandy left before noon, heading to Burlington.  The plan WAS to visit Joyce, get hair and teeth done, go to Stratford ... picking up her car sometime in there when it was ready.  Nope.  They had to order a new bumper and it's back ordered from Germany.  7-10 days for the bumper means that the car will sit at the collision place until we get back from Europe.  Great.  She'll probably drop the rental car off in Barrie and wait for me to finish my ride OR bring it back here and we'll drop it off at Parry Sound (a little more convenient) or North Bay on the way to Hemmingford.  What a mess.  This lady on her cell phone, texting, inattentive has no idea what havoc she's caused.  At least there was no one hurt !

I watched a little TV and Netflix ...

Onward !
