Jul 19 - a smorgasbord

Three bass, two crappie and a pike.  Now I call that a haul.  We had one of the bass (David) and the two pike fillets for dinner.  They'd have been fresher had we eaten them for breakfast or lunch, but we're not complaining.

I went out early for a bike ride, so that I'd be back by 3pm.  At 4pm I was heading to Loring and Mass.  My Aunt Ruth was there along with Christine, Maurice and their two kids and a friend.  It was good to catch up.

David did the vacuuming project that I'd been planning, using the Rigid shop vac and hose extensions with the ladder to do the tops of the beams.  He was also thinking of getting out with the fat tire bike; I forgot to ask him if he did.

It has rained overnight, unfortunately, and I see some patchy stuff on the Doppler.  I want to get started on the railings but I guess that will have to wait.  I was wondering if we should have gotten started yesterday, because I could have gone to Mass in Britt today but it was good to see my Aunt.  The chance that they'd be in Loring was the deciding factor.  That worked out well.

David and I were going to go fishing, depending on precipitation ... and it just started raining again ... that too will have to wait and/or not happen.  C'est la vie.

What else ?  Not much.

I see an email from Tim Ormond this morning, asking if that was me on Highway 69 close to Grundy Lake ... yup.  He had been visiting (his word) or perhaps camping in Killarney.  Coincidentally Kathy Brouse said that he is the organizer for next weekend's 400k ... but hasn't put out an announcement yet, so I emailed him back about that.  I'm sharing a room with Terry Payne in Mississauga the night before the ride.  A fellow by the name of Smiling Oliveira is also planning on doing the ride, so there's at least four of us.

Onward ?
