I did get out for a ride and my calf didn't act up. It's still a tad swollen, probably from before, but feels ok this a.m. Moving the toe to extremes does pull a little more with that calf, but otherwise not much different. What did I do to it that caused the issue last weekend ? I hope that I never find out because that would, undoubtedly, involve having a problem.
So that was good. The weather was so-so, with a little rain starting as I got back to the car, the occasional droplet hitting me. The real rain didn't start until overnight, however.
We went over to the Davies and chatted for a bit around wine-time. Lo's parents were there, having come up with Gavin the day before. Stan is sharp as ever at 85 with a clean physical to boot, so he told me. On my way back from my ride, I'd passed Jason and his MIL on the 4-wheeler. I guess he didn't let her drive.
David arrived around midnight, I think. It might have been earlier but I heard something about that time. Perhaps he was here earlier and just going to bed.
It looks like I've got the frame nailed down with Truenorth. I've opted to do the polishing myself. As I told Hugh -- "I may regret this". His plan is to build the frame in September. It will have the S&S couplers so I can take the luggage aboard without bike charges.
I don't have final word yet, but indications are that I'll have approval from RUSA to run the 1200k in Florida next May.
Otherwise there's not much to report. Onward ....
