I was going to write here and there, but really it was here and here.
I did a few errands, picked up beer, organized the yellow bike to ride on the carrier -- stupid me I didn't bring any bungies so I had to buy a couple of bungies -- picked up Jeffrey's car at the dealership, had another giant Giant salad, checked two auto parts stores for an oil filter for the X5 before finally giving up and going to the BMW dealership. For some reason they are special order -- not enough volume to warrant stocking ? -- who knows. It's not quite the same filter as the 3.0i engine, narrower and taller, but same idea -- cartridge filter.
Stef & Aaron's order arrived so the few things save one are here for me to bring north. That one item that we couldn't find is sitting in Florida ... duh ... mailed it to the wrong address.
The new deck is great, provides some sitting room. They've had a kiddie pool out there; Abby likes it as do the cats. These are strictly indoor cats and this is the only outside that they're able to experience. Jeffrey grilled burgers for dinner.
Matthew is doing well, still very quiet, sleeping most of the time. Nothing seems to wake him. I'm sure that he'll be quite different when we're back in a week or so.
Sandy has mostly organized the girls to travel today. I need to do two things on the way out of town -- BofA to deposit two checks and fuel the X5. The X5 can wait for an hour or so.
There are a variety of routes from here to Hemmingford. The shortest takes us across I78 to I287 in the Newark NJ area and then north on I87, very scenic (kidding). I don't mind that drive but it's traffic prone. We'd be hitting it at a good time, leaving at 8am, so it's still a possibility, but the better route is probably north to Scranton and across I84, hitting I87 well north of NYC. It shows up as 30 minutes further but that's easily made up in potential traffic delays on the other route.
I drove that area for so many years ... George knows it even better than me. If I didn't have the I84 alternative, I think that I'd rather take the PA Turnpike (I76), the NJ Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway to I87.
Anyway, we'll figure something out. SPOT will be on, if I remember ...

Packing the car should be interesting. I think that Abby will be sitting in the back back. We may or may not have something packed between the girls in the back seat.
Northward ...
