Sep 1 - is the summer really over ?

Flashback -- did we have summer ?  It was hot for the last few hours yesterday.  I think that was it.  Don't blink !

I cut, split and piled some wood.  David did windows.  It rained.  I went on the trainer for a while.  We had steak for dinner.  David headed back to Barrie.  We're back down to two, three if you count Abby.

Next door, Mike and Jill and Noodles headed back on Saturday night; Kyle about 4pm on Sunday; Gavin and Amanda after dinner.  They're back down to three, four if you count Chilli.

That's pretty much it.

Today I pack because tomorrow I've got an appointment in Oakville at 9am.  I have to leave extra time for traveling in Toronto rush hour, so I'll likely be out of here at 4am.  After Oakville, Abby and I continue south to Reading on Abby's way to Debbie-the-dog-minder and my way to Leesburg.  While coming back Monday would be ideal, Tuesday is more realistic.

Sandy leaves tomorrow on her way to Marda, NYC, Susie Pearce ... fun in The City and with The Girls.

Our paths cross again September 13th, maybe, as I head to Tennessee.

Oh -- I did a little cleanup on David's bike yesterday.  He needs to visit Aaron for an adjustment of the headset.  I don't have the wrench with me for the nut at the top of his head-tube.  I checked his chain and checked mine -- his was ok, mine was not.  I'm about to head downstairs and take care of that along with installing a new rear tire.  I'll give everything else a once-over while I'm at it.

Oh again -- I did some power washing with the Whaler.  David and Sandy went out in the kayaks down to the first cottage.  As usual Sandy talks to everyone on the way down, gets lots of "lake news".

Onward ?
