Sep 10 - definitely quiet

Well, it was catch-up day with my body getting back into this time zone vs the 24/7 "big ride" time zone.  Catch up involves sleeping and eating at normal hours.

The only real thing on my agenda was going to Loring for mail, which I did.  I also prepared for the Randonneurs Ontario conference call in the evening, updating some of my Treasurer documents.  Our Annual General Meeting is on Sunday and last night's meeting was preparing for that.

Otherwise, Abby and I took it pretty easy.  I'm not sure that's what she wanted but she didn't really have a choice.

Rain started late in the day and continued overnight.  This morning it's cloudy, not 100% sure what's on the horizon because the Britt Doppler Radar is down.

Naturally I did some domestic things -- unpacked, made bread -- as well as checked in with MTO.  Apparently blasting is about to start.  That involved me kick-starting our MTO guy who kick-started the blaster.  I'll go down there this morning and see if there's any equipment in place.

I also took pictures of the our cottage site and sent details to the generator guy.  He looked at those and wants me to call him this morning to discuss.

I'd call this quiet progress on several fronts.

I checked in with Bonnie who is in Parry Sound, to see if they had any mail for us ... nope ... that makes sense.  There wasn't much to retrieve in town but I am expecting a package from Lisa with Florida mail.

I don't really see much in the way of results yet from Abby's antibiotic.  The warty thing isn't growing but at least it's not open.  The objective at this point is to clear up the infection to see if there's more.  It might take a few more days to make that assessment.  I can take her to Parry Sound on Friday if necessary but if it looks stable, perhaps Monday might be better as by then she'd have been on the antibiotic course for a few days.

My bike hasn't been unpacked yet.  I'll attend to that this a.m.  The weather isn't going to be conducive to riding so I might get on the trainer.

Onward ...
