Sep 29 - journey complete, for now

Having slept in until after 8am, the time until my dentist appointment went quickly.  I had breakfast, did my Natchez blog, got my haircut and had lunch.  Somehow that ate up six hours; my appointment was at 2:10.

As expected, this was a two hour appointment.  Out of there a little after 4pm, it was an easy drive north with only a slight slowdown once on the 403 and another time on the 400.  Oh yes, I'd made my Home Depot stop already in Toronto, picking up the 6/3 wire for the generator installation.

My only stop was in Parry Sound for fuel.  I arrived at the cottage at 8:15 pm.

I forgot -- the last bit of the drive was tough.  It rained so hard that I was slowed to about 40kph on highway 522 (24 mph).  Even at that speed I could hardly see the road.  The rain had started just a few kms south of the turnoff, slowing me down there too but it's easier to see where you are with lines on the road.

Now I've got work to do:

-- generator installation; need to make some decisions on that score; DIY or plumbing help only or full install
-- do my part of the work, i.e. the 6/3 wire and move generator into place ? that will take help
-- Sunshine 1200k -- sort out hotel and ferry commitments, volunteers, logo ...

There's more.

Onward !
