Let's see ... it's Friday now ... what happened on Wednesday and Thursday ?
Well, on Wednesday I went for a ride; Jas, Lo and Kim arrived; we had tuna for dinner.
On Thursday we went to the beach, strolled Flagler and ate at the Breakers.
On Wednesday ... the ride was tough. A month off the bike is a long time. The weather was great, thank goodness. I told Jason that my engine really noticed the month off the bike but the other bike, the motorized one, didn't even seem to notice that it had been sitting for five months ! Yes, I took the HD for a spin around the block.
Our guests arrived just before 6pm. Jason and Kim were thirsty and each had a beer; Lo had wine. Oh ... Kim's beer was Root; she doesn't drink -- the ideal bar-hopping companion !
On Thursday we had a choice between the aforementioned activities or going out in the boat. Today, Friday, we'll go out in the boat. I ran over to Walmart before anyone was up and picked up two new batteries. It seems that the one that I brought down from the Bayliner wouldn't take a full charge, so it was a trade-in.
Jason and Kim helped me move the 4x6 box trailer to the pad at the side of the house. I've now ordered two trailer hitch dollies, one for here and one for up north. I've needed one of these up north for quite some time.

For our beach trip I brought along the fat-tire bike and while Sandy and Lo sat on chairs and chatted; while Jason and Kim rode boogie boards; I rode the bike to Flagler and back -- four miles. It gives quite a workout. Once back, Jason, Sandy and Lorraine all tried the bike and were amazed at how easy rolling it is. You'd make faster time with a lighter, narrower tire bike, but it works. It looks like a motorcycle as it approaches you with the fat tires. It brought smiles to many faces as I rode it up the beach.
Sandy did her white and wild rice mixture along with asparagus to complement the tuna. Wonderful. At The Breakers, Jas and Lo split a burger; Sandy had a full burger; Kim had the Tostada salad; I had the Mahi sandwich. The food is always good. We still need to eat at the Club before the end of the month to use up our allotment, but we have a few days to do that.
Onward !
