I'm at it. Working with html. Took a quick online course and using a product called Komposer. No one is stepping up to the plate helping do web design for the Sunshine 1200k site so I'm doing it myself. Self preservation is the word !
I'm not a designer. I'm a better critic. The nice thing about web pages is that you can save any page and then look under the covers to see how it is set up. That makes things a lot easier. Of course understanding html syntax and commands also helps, that's why I plowed through that course yesterday.
----------
We had a short break in the rain. Very short. Heck, it hardly rained at all yesterday !
Don and Claudia are in; I chatted with Don for a bit. He was outside with a Diet Pepsi in his hand -- now that's a different Don !
I stopped over to see Jim and Bonnie, helped them with some camera/picture related stuff and have now copied some of their pictures to/from different SD cards. I'll return those today before they get lost on my desk. Bonnie stopped over to see if she could access some video sent by Pauline, but an app needed updating and she didn't know the Microsoft password that Jeffrey had setup. The only "forgot my password" option on that site is text-me-a-new-one, which doesn't do us a heck of a lot of good up here with no cell service.
I did some more work, but very little, on the SF1200k site. I did fuss around quite a bit getting the DNS entries setup, primary and aliases. There was a problem at my hosting company end that their sysadmin's had to fix, which they did overnight.
None of this is very physical. I'm taking a break. If I get up the energy/initiative/break-in-the-weather, I'll pour a pad for the generator due to be installed a week tomorrow.
Tomorrow we head to Barrie; I'll help Stef with some tiling. Then we're staying overnight in Burlington, will see/inspect my new frame on Tuesday a.m. and then we both have dentist appointments that afternoon, at which point we'll roll back north. Abby will traipse around with us.
Onward ...
