Oct 5 - putter, putter

If I was a golfer, I'd have this puttering down pat now !

Of course it rained most of the day and it's raining again this morning.  45F and pouring.  Lovely weather.  Why are we not in Florida ?  Oh yes, so we can eat some turkey on the weekend to fortify ourselves for the trip.

Sara broke her heel, is now in one of those strap-on casts.  The picture on Facebook shows concrete with a crack.  Jeffrey hurt his shoulder but that seems to be mending itself quickly so it's probably not a rotator cuff problem, thank goodness.  Zoe is getting too big to catch !  We will see them the weekend after Canadian Thanksgiving.  Wounded warriors !

I did some bicycle maintenance and spare parts organizing.  I can't believe that my bike is so clean after a 1500k ... no rain and riding on that parkway account for that.

I also did some other cleanup and organizing in my workshop.  They'll be installing the generator transfer switch on the outside wall.  I probably need to cut a piece of plywood as well and attach that to the drywall/insulated concrete forms.  It will be a whole lot neater if I do some of this prep.  I'm still thinking that I'll pour a concrete pad but that's weather and initiative dependent :).

We're off to Stef's this a.m. to lay Ditra and then, hopefully to have dinner with Alnasir and Nimet.  He's still reorganizing a meeting that he has for tonight so that might not happen.  The last time we tried to have dinner with them was almost two years ago when we had the debacle with alternator problems with the old X5 on the way to the airport to fly to Whistler.

Abby's face is getting better but she still manages to open one corner of the incision up every day which will prolong the process and the time that she has to wear the cone of shame.  It's interesting that neither Mya or Chilli want to have anything to do with her when she's wearing that thing.

Onward ... southward ... wetward ...
