Nov 24 - Oct 200k, check

The ride south was great, cloudy, wind building but not too bad.  It started off over 70 so I didn't need to carry any extra clothing, however, I decided at the last minute to use the rando bike anyway.  As soon as I turned north, the clouds rolled away and I had full sun for the rest of the trip back.  Daytona reports record heat, 87F ... yup and it was hotter than that in traffic with heat coming at me from the pavement !  Luckily I was back by about 2:30, good ride overall.

I'd forgotten to mention in yesterday's blog that I did spend a couple of hours putting an additional receptacle in the living room.  It had bugged me since we did the renovation that the cord for the TV etc. dangled across the wall to the closest receptacle about three feet away.  That wall backs onto the garage so I was able to do this minor bit of electrical work without hacking away at the drywall on the living room side.  I had two studs to drill through but I was able to do that from behind.  I now have some minor patching to do in the garage but I have to pickup some drywall mud as I threw away the last of my prior bucket -- it was going moldy.

Sandy picked up shrimp for dinner; rice and sauteed zucchini completed the picture.

The Sunshine 1200k is about ready to go.  December 1, 12:01 a.m. is the start of registration ... what will happen ?  Who knows.  It could be quiet; it could go crazy.  I've got to call the two Key West hotels and verify number of rooms available but don't expect that it would have changed.  I did deal with a number of queries yesterday, mostly about qualifying rides; a couple about logistics -- luggage handling and storage.

Today ... Vic first thing re some custom shelving for the living room, eye appointments for both of us late in the afternoon, more Sunshine 1200k registration web work to finalize.

Onward ho !
