It mostly poured all day. I made a run to Home Depot to pick up a new fountain pump and was intending to go to the grocery store as well, but it was pouring with thunder and lightning and I didn't bother.
The only sunshine yesterday was my work on the aptly named bicycle ride.
We both had eye appointments late in the day; I'm told that I'll have age-related cataracts in about 10 years; Sandy's been told that she could improve her vision with cataract surgery but as long as it's not impacting her daily life, don't bother. Everything else is fine. Sandy is looking at new glasses, will probably go back today and make a choice between a couple of frames.
While we were at the eye doctor's, it poured, thunder and lightning, boom ! boom ! Some of the roads have small lakes on them. I'm sure that there are places with flooding but we're right on the ICW so we don't have a problem.
We had slow cooked flounder for dinner. I don't know what's wrong but it's as if the gas pressure has dropped. I could barely light more than one burner on the grill. Very strange. This is off the natural gas line, not a propane tank. I normally have a huge flame, because the orifices have been drilled out.
Perhaps all the rain has dislodged some dirt and blocked the orifices. It's still raining now but once it's light and the rain stops, I may take a look at it. I'll have to take a look at it ! I cannot live without a barbecue !
Onward ...
