How stupid can one get or is this age + stupidity combined ?
Proving once again that stupidity isn't the exclusive domain of the young ...
Well, when we were in Reading, I was bouncing Emma and Zoe on my foot, you know with my legs crossed. Zoe is over 30 pounds; Emma is over 50, perhaps close to 60. It was all I could do to lift Emma. Back and forth, they both took turns of 10 bounces. What fun !
Then we drove north to Jason's. Combine that "exercise" with then sitting still for many hours and that groin muscle really seized up. I could hardly lift that leg. The next morning it was the same ... I had to lift my leg with my hands to get into the car. Climbing the stairs was a sideways motion. Jason had a good laugh.
It was finally starting to loosen up late in the day and yesterday, heading to Stef's, I could feel it but it didn't hamper my movements and I'd lost the limp. What an idiot !
Stef's comment was that she'd had her kids when I was young for this very reason :). Right on !
Ok, anyway, we got to Stef's about 11:15 and left around 12:30. We got to the dentist, sat down at a little cafe in that plaza, ordered our food and 10 minutes later I was leaving Sandy at the table, having eaten perhaps 5% of what was on my plate, and now rushing to the dentist. Our next meal was when we got back home.
Hopefully this is the last significant crown work for a while. I go back in a week to get them installed.
Back home at 9pm, Abby the traveling dog was happy to get out of the car.
The temperature hovered just over freezing the entire way north with drizzle. There was a period of snow as we drove along 522 but that fizzled and there's no accumulation this morning. It's still right at freezing -- 0C/32F. The temperature is supposed to fall to -7C over the course of the day and the outlook for the next few days stays below freezing.
Onward !
