To Costco, to the Dentist, to Parry Sound, to the Cottage. We deviated a little stopping at the King City Onroute for lunch on the way north. That wasn't as much deviation as it was nailing down the details -- we knew that we'd have lunch somewhere, where that happened would just depend on the timing.
Uncapped teeth are now in the minority. Cracked and minimal enamel, for whatever reason -- lack of fluoride when I was young ? inheriting the Thompson Teeth ? (everyone in my Dad's family had dentures) -- who knows, but the bottom line is that Dr. Weir has caught them before any "catastrophic fractures" as he calls them. Catastrophic fractures would lead to implants or bridges, much more troublesome and much more expensive. The teeth are healthy enough, under the surface that is. I've never had a root canal, nothing pulled other than my two lower six-year-molars that were pulled when I was six ... yup, came in rotting, but that left room for the Wisdom Teeth, good thing eh ? Does it show ? No, probably not :).
We were home in time for Sandy to work the remaining part of the afternoon and into the evening making rolls, turnip, coleslaw, contributing to the upcoming dinner at Stef's. We'll head down there mid morning, braving the rain. I'll take a family picture and then use Photoshop, perhaps, to put it together with a picture of Jeffrey and Sara's gang, for the family website.
It's 7:09 a.m. and pitch dark outside. The days are getting longer but you wouldn't know it.
Today will be a day trip, which makes things easier. The plan, if it comes together, has presents at Stef's, dinner at Stef's, Mass in Barrie and then head north. It will probably be close to midnight before we're back home.
Onward !
