Yes, that will have been my last bike ride of 2014. I finished up the year 300 miles short of last year at 11,680 miles. My next ride will be almost a month from now; a new year.
It was windy and cool but that wind was behind me, and it felt warmer, as I reversed course and rode south. We've had high tides and the ocean has been rough; always interesting to see the big waves crashing. The tide yesterday was so high that some docks along Riverside had their furniture standing in the water and I had to ride through a couple of inches of water in Tomoka Park.
We had chicken for dinner, on the barbie. We probably have chicken as much as fish these days.
This morning I've been doing some backups, prepping for our trip north. I may or may not get a hot swap ready (separate bootable disk). I usually do that ... of course the one time that I don't, I'll be restoring from a backup rather than simply changing disks.
I'll get the car ready to roll today, mostly packed. Tomorrow's destination is Wytheville VA. Abby has a grooming appointment today. I probably should get my hair cut; I probably won't; I'll probably regret that later.
Onward !
