It was my turn. Sandy, Sara, Emma and Matthew headed to Orlando, the American Girl Store, and other venues. My job was looking after Zoe. She expected to get into the car with everyone else, was not happy when I took her into the back yard and then when we walked around to the front, the car was gone. I distracted her inside by having the two of us pop umbrellas open. Hey ... whatever it takes. The rest of the day was calm, no tears except once when she fell in her hurry to get somewhere, but that was forgotten too.
I'd intended to get out with her but the weather turned rainy and her nap broke up the day.
Once Sandy was home, 5:30-ish, I went to Publix to pick up a few things.
Sandy made meatloaf; another day was done.
Oh yes, as usual Poppa created a stir when he bought those long balloons that you can make things with (Publix). A bursting balloon didn't bother Zoe but it did bother Matthew.
Here's a picture of the three of them that I picked off of Facebook --
Zoe loves the stairs. The horizontal runs are perfect for her because she can choose a handrail at her height.
... and of course she takes over Abby's bed with her own Puppy, her almost-constant companion.
Who knows what today will bring, but I hope that it brings Jeffrey :). Actually he's due this evening. I'll make the airport run.
Onward.
