On to the Magic Kingdom; Zoe was keen to get in the car. Parked, Zoe was keen to get out of the car. It went downhill for an hour after that. We didn't have a stroller and it's a walk to the tram, walk to the ferry or monorail, walk inside ... and Zoe wanted to be carried. She wasn't a happy camper.
Once inside, we rented a stroller and Zoe didn't want to ride. I took her into a store and bought a cookie, which she wanted rather than a stuffed toy -- she carried her puppy all day so she didn't need any more stuffed toys. She cried through Dumbo. It was that kind of start.
Then we sat down and had some popcorn. She happily ate some of that. I went to the restroom and then it was Sandy's turn. As I sat there with Zoe she got down, got herself into the stroller. The rest of the day she was fine ... whew !
She loved It's a Small World. She didn't even mind the queue. We had some lunch and she climbed in and out of the Disney stroller, happily part of the massively crowded day -- we've never seen it so crowded.
We got fast passes for another ride but Zoe wasn't interested so we didn't push our luck. The 3pm parade was imminent so we parked the stroller, waited 20 minutes or so during which Zoe was in and out of the stroller, walking around the area and exploring a little. Then the parade started and she was mesmerized for the duration. Sandy took some videos that she and we can watch later.
Following the parade out of the park was a slow meander. We figured quite rightly that our day was done. It was 4:30 by the time we were at the car and were home around 6pm. Zoe was tired but eventually perked up and ate bowl after bowl of mac-n-cheese (aka Kraft Dinner to us Canucks).
I didn't survive until Jeffrey et al got home, but Sandy did, turning in right afterwards. I guess that they were home around 9pm.
Today's plan has yet to be written, other than recovery. It looks like everyone but especially Emma had a great time at Universal. That worked out well. She needed some individual attention. Yes, Matthew was there, but he doesn't demand as much attention as Zoe.
Onward !
