Zoe and Matthew are coming down with / have something, Zoe especially. The runny nose on Zoe is the visual; the crying is the audible. Sandy walked miles with the stroller around and around our cul-de-sac which kept Zoe happy. Matthew got the same treatment at one point. Even Papa walked with Matthew, inside, but he's not as good at this.
Emma was still going strong, however, and had a busy day playing inside and out. She and Zoe did get to the beach with Sara and Jeffrey while Matthew stayed here, keeping Nana busy.
Emma did get something special. She and Papa went around the block a couple of times on the motorcycle. Helmets were in place, of course. I'll post pictures later, once I retrieve them off my camera.
My but time does go by quickly. It goes more quickly here, in Florida, with the grandchildren; They've all had their turn, from Kylie to Megan to Lauren to Emma, Zoe and Matthew. Alexander missed his chance. Sigh. I think that it's the number of entertainment venues that speeds up time. A day or two at Disney adds a day for recovery, for all. Boating, beach, Disney/Universal/Other Orlando, Space Center and then simply enjoying the weather. Here on Keely Circle, the cul-de-sac creates its own entertainment with lots of room for the kids to play.
Paul and Judy's house is soon to be no more. The moving van was parked there most of the day yesterday, loading up. They are only moving a few miles away but the house will need renaming now. Closing is tomorrow, I think. I don't know the names of the new people; not sure when they're moving in.
Here too, moving is underway. Suitcases are piled around. I hear some action through the closed pocket door. Yes, at 4:30 a.m. things are starting to happen. We have to leave at 5:30 for the gang to catch their 8:50 flight. It's only 1:15 to get to the airport but delays happen; it's hard to get everyone checked in, through security, etc.
I did some shopping, trying to nail down fenders and front rack for the new bike, assuming that the fork comes in late this month / early next month. This build will have front and back racks, fenders, the full regalia. It should be interesting.
The Sunshine 1200k numbers keep whittling down, people dropping out from the main list and the waitlist getting anxious, no doubt, for me to open the floodgates. It looks like however I define the limit, we'll have a sell-out, at least initially. As usual, there will be some last minute dropouts and those slots will likely be empty. That's par for the course.
Jeffrey just came out and said that their flight is delayed 50 minutes. That means that they can sleep just a little bit longer. That's good. We'd heard that the inbound flight was late yesterday so this is probably a matter of the crew needing their obligatory downtime.
Onward ...
