Out there again in wool, and good that I was. It did get a little over 50F but was very cool to start. It wasn't cool compared to what my Ontario friends are experiencing right now, but cool for me !
I really felt dragged out like a long bonk. The cold, long gone, has left my allergies sensitized and I get out there and after a while, heavy with mucus in my throat and sinuses. I expect that it also limits my oxygen intake, but that's just rationalization. I wasn't short of breath so that's probably not it; just tired. However, I got through the usual 77 miles, which is my northern route. I was feeling better by the time I got home but that was probably just in anticipation of stopping banging my head against the wall :).
On these slow days, my time's over 5 hours, compared to about 4.5 on a normal day. I'd left it as long as I could, waiting for the temperature to rise, but of course on the back end, that means getting home around 5pm. At least the days are getting longer.
It was a shrimp night; shrimp with green beans and rice. Sandy cooks a different rice now, not white, that's nutty flavored and much better for us. I've been complaining about white rice for some time. This takes twice as long to cook but is worth it (to me).
Sandy caught up with Kim and Megan the other night; was on the phone with both of them for about an hour. They're doing well out in Edmonton; recently took a trip to Jasper and sent us some pictures. Megan wants to come to Florida .... "next year" ! We'll have to make that happen.
Time to go ... Mass calls.
Onward !
