Apr 10 - another day goes by

I have an accumulation of stuff that I need to do ... procrastinating.  Among them is finalize my taxes.  I guess that's the first due !  Additionally I have a bunch of things to finish vis-a-vis the Sunshine 1200k, most notably the food for the overnight locations.  I really need to address both of these (especially the taxes !) in the next few days.

Still taking advantage of the nice weather, I went for a ride.  The bike feels better every time out.  As with most days, I played around with the front rack this morning.  I don't have a bag for it yet ... or rather, I have a bag but am not convinced that it's the bag that I want.  It's too big; it gets in the way of my hands; it's fiddly to use ... yeah ... I think that the one that I need is on its way to Velo Orange from Asia somewhere.  Another possibility is the Gilles Berthoud GB22 bag, preferably without side pockets, from either Rene Herse or Compass Bicycles.  Then I need a new, smaller and slimmer rear bag, just for tools, tubes etc.  Everything else will move to the front.

As usual, I took Abby for a walk after the ride.

Before riding, I went over to CVS and picked up the battery for the TAG.  I replaced it and ... nothing ... no ticking.  I figured that perhaps the watch had finally given up the ghost.  I googled a bit, fiddled with it and finally decided to give it a good knock on the counter.  Tick Tick (well, it doesn't actually make a sound) and it's going again.  It's definitely dirty and probably has picked up some corrosion from various times that it's been foggy inside (inside the watch, that is).  It hasn't  been waterproof for quite some time, even though the jeweler has tested it (I'm not happy with that guy).

Today ... might ride again.  The next week's forecast is for possibility of rain every day, so I'll make hay while the sun shines, so they say.

Onward !
