Well, the front bag works. I'd read over and over again in Bicycle Quarterly about how much more comfortable (and accessible) a front bag would be and now I believe it. The bike just seems to follow the handlebars around corners, since the weight is there. Interesting.
It weighs a ton -- the bike, that is. I haven't yet checked the total weight but it's a lot. Every little zip tie and nut adds up. I need some helium somewhere ...
For a very nice change, I was able to ride north. I don't think that I've had a north wind since before our trip to Ecuador.
Sandy's cold just might be improving. When will I catch it ? I don't have time for a cold, with 2400k of riding to do over the next two weeks.
This morning, Chet, Harris and I are going fishing, or at least that's the plan for 7:30 a.m. It won't be a far trip -- just out front -- nor long, as thunderstorms are looming.
