Apr 16 - so far, so good

Well, the front bag works.  I'd read over and over again in Bicycle Quarterly about how much more comfortable (and accessible) a front bag would be and now I believe it.  The bike just seems to follow the handlebars around corners, since the weight is there.  Interesting.

It weighs a ton -- the bike, that is.  I haven't yet checked the total weight but it's a lot.  Every little zip tie and nut adds up.  I need some helium somewhere ...

For a very nice change, I was able to ride north.  I don't think that I've had a north wind since before our trip to Ecuador.

Sandy's cold just might be improving.  When will I catch it ?  I don't have time for a cold, with 2400k of riding to do over the next two weeks.

This morning, Chet, Harris and I are going fishing, or at least that's the plan for 7:30 a.m.  It won't be a far trip -- just out front -- nor long, as thunderstorms are looming.

Onward !
