Yep, going to happen again. Now that I'm caught up, I embark on a 600k and don't blog for a few days.
Thursday ... Zoe got up in a good mood, we did more "pull" game (exercise bands), watched some TV, walked the yard (she loves to cruise), snacked, not much iPad, etc. Sandy got home about 12:30 and after unloading the car, which included drop bags that she got from Arthur for the 600k, I went out for a shorter-than-usual ride. Since I was only heading out at 1pm, I cut it short around Britt, making for an 80km/50mi turnaround rather than 70mi.
While I was out, Sandy and Zoe played in the cover, Zoe getting a taste of walking in the water with her clothes on, like her father. Sandy got a bunch of pictures; I'll have to get some from her. She's got this private stash on her ipad that no-one else can access.
Otherwise, not much. Today I've got to get packed but not as much, since I'll be here tomorrow night with the gang, all eating and staying here during the 600k.
Below you can see the route; we go counter-clockwise. The red dot at the top is our cottage, the Control at 340km. This should be interesting !
There is a fair amount of climbing, 3400 meters, but of course no elevation as this is Ontario. I think that 400 meters over sea level is as high as we get.
On the way south I will check out Rankin Road south of Parry Sound; I believe that it's paved but not 100% sure. It's not very long so even if not, it won't be a big deal. I also need to stop at Parry Sound. The plan is to stay overnight with Stef, not a motel this time !
With a little luck I'll also get into Loring for the mail today. Oh yes, I have to write up all those brevet cards ! That's time consuming. I sure wish that I could type them but my printer ink isn't very good.
Onward !
