As for the Vonage VOIP service, I don't even bother answering that phone anymore. We may cancel that at some point and simply use our cell phones. The only calls that come in on that phone are either telemarketers or political. If it's a real caller, they leave a message but it's been months since the last message and even that wasn't a real caller, it was the Radnor emergency service, which still has our number in its system which we've been unable to fix.
That service doesn't cost us much -- less than $19.34 per month -- but it's just one more unnecessary expense and one more item that I haul back and forth between the two houses. The ONLY advantage of having it in place is that the house wiring in Florida is hooked up to that line and, for instance, the telephone in the elevator runs off the house wiring. There are also cheaper alternatives.
