Sep 30 - a whirlwind trip

We left here at 8:30 a.m., stopped in Parry Sound to pickup Abby's ashes and pay the final vet bill, arriving at Joyce's around 12:15.  We unloaded the car, went to lunch with Joyce at Funky Thai, then headed towards Magnetawan via highway 11.  We made 15 minutes stops along the way -- Home Depot in Barrie for some iron pipe so that I can live up to my commitment to fix that propane regulator breather, and Sobeys in Gravenhurst for a few veggies, milk and grapefruit juice.

Arriving at Jim & Bonnie's at 5:30, we had a visit with them and then went to the restaurant in town.  It's a neat little town with everything that Port Loring lacks -- grocery store, good restaurant, marina, a real post office -- to name a few things -- oh yes, and people !  It was quiet on a post-summer Tuesday night but there were people.

We left Magnetawan at 8:01 p.m. and were parked in our driveway at 9:27 -- via highways 11 and 522, which the Nav recommends as the shortest route.  This a.m. I checked it online and yes, it is significantly shorter than heading towards Parry Sound and 69, but Google says that it's only 10 minutes longer via 69.  I think that there's more of a time difference, but who knows.

Next up, 200k out of Grimsby, depending on the weather and then the puppy visitation on Sunday.

Onward !
