Sep 6 - a tough one

Wow.  This is hanging on for a long time.  Stomach cramps, diarrhea, achy everywhere ... but of course the worst part is not knowing when I'll next need a bathroom urgently.

Sorry for the graphics ... our hostess gave me an imodium, which seemed to help but the "chemist" was closed in St.E when I sent into Mass and the effect was wearing off, which translated into an urgent need for a public WC.  Sandy talked to the tourist info center and we found a pharmacy Libourne, about 15 minutes away, and I'm now taking the stuff regularly, according to directions.  It's helping but isn't a cure-all.

I slept much of the afternoon, catching up from the prior night where I got practically no sleep.  We did go back into St.E for dinner but I wasn't eating much.  I did have an omelet; whether that was good or not I don't know.  I'm trying to drink water but having a hard time consuming enough

Ugh.

I did get a fair amount of sleep last night so perhaps I'm on the mend or perhaps it's being held at bay by imodium; who knows.

Today we head for Meaux -- pronounced M-OH (think of Bordeaux, same combination of letters).

Onward !
