Oct 22 - puppy love

That's what Stef posted on Facebook. Yes, it's hard not to love a puppy.  Someone said kitten's too, but I don't know about that !

First stop, Parry Sound and the bank.  Second stop, Hornings Mills to pick up puppy (yes, we will name it eventually !).  That went without a hitch; Chantelle was waiting for us.  Tears flowed.  Puppy was the first to leave and the rest will go shortly.  It will be tough for her !

Next, to Stef's.  Lauren left school early to be part of the fun.  We lingered there for a bit, long enough for puppy to crap on the floor.  Prior to that she'd upchucked in her crate in the car.  She peed at Jason's a couple of times.  Ah ... looking forward to having her trained !

Next to David's work where his boss immediately wanted to hold puppy.

Everyone loves puppy ... what's not to love ?

She was very fidgety in Sandy's lap so we'd stopped and put her in the crate / kennel.  After a couple of whines and, of course, the upchucking, she settled right down in the pink kennel.  She slept there last night as well, or at least as much as she and I slept.  I was up with her four or five times taking her outside to pee.  The kennel was close to me so when she whined, I put my fingers through the side of the cage and she'd settle down, just needing to know that there was someone there.  She's used to her mother and 9 siblings at night, so this is very strange.

She's asleep on the floor under the table right now, head on my foot.

Chili gave her the usual barking welcome.  They were ok together as long as people didn't intervene.  Dogs can get jealous and wiener dogs are not the friendliest of dogs.

Gavin and Amanda made the trek out to see puppy as well.

Pictures will come ...

Today, hopefully half-way to Florida.  There will be many short stops, no doubt !

Onward !
