Oct 26 - minding the puppy

It was another day minding the puppy.  I did get out to the grocery store and do a few things around here but not a heck-of-a-lot.  Sandy did more puppy shopping, picking up a plastic pool.  It must be in the car; haven't seen it yet.

I'm mostly unpacked and stuff (mostly biking clothes) hung in my closet.  Today I plan to ride, so we'll see if one of the bikes is in good order.

Over the past couple of months I've been making notes for myself and putting them in a "shopping" folder.  Once here, I went through that folder and placed internet orders.  UPS will be happy that we're home; the first delivery is today.

She slept through the night, not out of her crate between 9pm and 5:30 a.m.  At that point she was so excited, racing around then peeing, having breakfast, pooping and now playing with toys.  Not only did Sandy buy new toys but she also washed most of Abby's toys and so there's a big basket.  Last night she had most of them out on the kitchen floor.  She races around dragging toys, pounces on them, barks at them -- really funny to watch.  She also knows how to find the squeakers, like Abby.

It's funny, Abby always had toys scattered around.  I know that Vickie had toys; we have pictures of her opening Christmas presents; but I don't remember her playing with them as much.  Of course she also lived to a very old age so perhaps that kind of play was no more ... and it was a long, long time ago so it might also be my memory !

Anyhoo ... today is supposed to be dry; yesterday was not.  Hopefully that forecast will come to pass.
