Nov 22 - rain and more dock work

We did get rain although generally not heavy.  In between, I did some dock work, removing boards and nails then placing the boards back down so that there's someplace to walk.  I have to pick up more wood before I can throw away old.

I think that I've decided to also beef up the stringers that run from pole to pole for the walkway.  They've got long spans and this would be a good time to do so.  I'll likely just pair the existing 2x8 (or 2x10, haven't measured) with a 2x6 and then either bolt or lag through.  I'll probably put a metal spacer in as well, large washers, because that wood-on-wood is a place for moisture to be trapped which brings ants and rot.  This process will only cost me a dozen 2x6x8', give or take and it will also provide a secure/firm bed for attaching the walkway deck boards.

What else ?  Not much to tell.  Today Fall has definitely arrived with an outside temp of 45F this morning, heading up to low 60's today.  It will then warm as the week goes on.

I did take Cassie out for a boat ride, just toodling around out front, something to do and giving the boat a run. 

There must be something else but I don't remember !

Beef ribs for dinner; Sandy found a boil-in-coke recipe then grill. Interesting.
