Oct 31 - a quiet halloween

The day ended pretty quietly.  The first group of kids showed up after dark; about 20 of them.  Later another one; then still later, another two and we were finished.  It must have been been because there were no other lights on in the cul-de-sac and kids didn't want to bother coming into our street only for us.    We've had many more in the past.  Now we have lots and lots of leftover candy !

Sandy spent much of the day working in the garden.  As a result we now have quite a pile of stuff to take out for Monday's yard trash pickup.  I squeezed in a bike ride.  It was hot !  I usually don't even finish one of my water bottles.  This time I finished two and stopped for a drink as well.

It was pretty quiet on the mainland through Daytona but beachside in Flagler, there was a surfing contest underway and it was hopping.  Daytona beachside was also busy as there's an e-gaming convention going on and crowds of kids with event tags were on the street.

When I got home, Sandy went to OceanS Seafoods to see what had come in with the tide ... fresh tuna !   It was great.

Today there's not much on tap.  I need to replace Sandy's clothesline as they poles are quite rusted out.  The ones available at HD or Lowes or online are pretty flimsy so I may get some galvanized pipe and do this myself.

While I was out, Kelly Jordan called from BMW to say that she had good news ... but by time I returned the call, she'd left for the day.  That means that I probably won't hear the good news until Monday, unless she picks up her email on Sunday -- which she has done before.

Onward !
