Oct 30 - minding puppy

Let me get something off my chest -- car has been at dealer for 2.5 days now and they cannot figure out what's wrong with it.  What the heck ???!!!  I hope that I'm paying a flat rate for diagnostics !

Ok, that's done. 

Cassie played and played and played.  She helped me do some weeding.  She went into her pool (just briefly while I washed her down).  We tried out the leash.  She ran; she fetched; she chased a beer can (more on that in a minute) and just generally was the center of attention.

Jason et al and Sandy went to Flagler St. while I did puppy minding.  We tried something new -- kennel stayed in the bedroom; I put her down.  She slept for 1.5 hours and then I got her up.  Success.  Now we have to see if that's going to work for the long term / longer time and then we at least have some freedom to go out for a couple of hours !

Apparently everything has changed on Flagler.  Run-down is becoming fixed-up.  That's been happening gradually over the last few years but I guess that there's been a significant transition while we're away.  I'll have to get over there and check it out.

We had dinner at the Tiki; good as usual.  This was Kim's first time eating at the Tiki, believe it or not.  She's eaten at the club a couple of times but it's either been too cold for the Tiki or was a day when it wasn't open.  Cassie quite happily stayed in the kennel in the car.  At least she's not tied to a particular car !

Otherwise it was a quiet day.  We're having great weather; I hope that it lasts !
