I don't even think that you could call this a diet. Liquid, yes, sustenance, no. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.
I did my duty, some chicken broth during the day; lime jello in the morning switching to lemon jello in the afternoon -- because I remember what lime jello did to me five years ago ... green poop for days !
At 6pm, per the instructions, I did the first batch of sur-prep, or however it's spelled. Pour bottle in container, fill with water and then drink up. Black cherry flavoring didn't taste all that bad. Two more containers of mostly water, with a dose of diet iced tea for good luck, and I'm now at 3x16oz of liquid ... plus more jello, which is considered liquid ... and I'm easily over two quarts, perhaps 2.5. That settled for a while and then I made many trips to the toilet. This was unpleasantly reminiscent of the end of our vacation in France and the ensuing flight home ...
Up at 3am, repeat the procedure. Make that 4 x Ugh or more. We'll leave around 6:15 for Palm Endoscopy -- sounds like a neat place, eh ? Not so much. They crank through 100 or more colonoscopies per day. I remember that !
I'll feed Cassie around 5am so that she has a chance to do some digesting before we hit the road. I'm not sure when we'll be home; I have to be there by 7:30 but I don't think that I'm scheduled until 8:30 -- out by 10am ? Something like that, and home by 11am ... then food !
Right now I'm not even hungry. It is possible to consume so much liquid that it chases away any hunger. Oh yes, and that black cherry flavor ? I had to choke it down this morning. One sip at a time through 16 oz of black cherry that seemed thicker and thicker as I drank it.
What else happened yesterday ? Sandy took Marda to the airport; I didn't hear any more, so I assume that everything went on time, flight to Newark NJ, drive home. Sandy picked up some dinner for herself later on, some interesting looking ravioli. She took in a massage at noon. I hung out ... wanted to do something but the liquid non-diet wasn't giving me any energy for anything.
Oh yes, having submitted the Randonneurs Ontario Ontario Cycling Association affiliation package for 2016, I got feedback that they wanted our most recent changes filed with the province; well there weren't any. It seems that we were supposed to be filing changes of directors etc. with the province (we're incorporated) and that's never been done. Soooo ... I called Jim Griffin, prior Treasurer, to confirm that we were offside, then did some googling, found the form and worked out what I should send. I'll print and mail all that once we're back up north.
Speaking of which ... looking at the forecast ... I'm not even sure that I should bother with winter tires. There's no snow in the forecast through Christmas and I've got brand-new all-season tires. I'll make that determination on the weekend.
That's about it ... or all that I can think about ...
Onward !
