Dec 9 - UTI

Urinary Tract Infection ... yup ... let's pee every two minutes ...

That was Cassie in the a.m.  While Sandy was at the gym; I called the vet and picked up Amoxicillin.   This morning she seems much improved but we'll continue the 7-day course.

Sandy called the vet when she got home wanting to know if this was contagious ... answer is no.  Also, she found out that UTI's don't come from something ingested, rather they "ascend" (I got that from Google).  I suspect that all her rolling around in the rotting vegetation at the base of the bananas is at fault.

I was thinking of getting out for a ride but we really couldn't leave her alone for long.  She had a couple of accidents in the kitchen, something that hasn't happened for weeks as she's now completely trained.  She just couldn't get outside quickly enough.

Poor puppy !  She's had her breakfast and her peanut butter covered pill this morning.

As for me, I've had coffee this morning.   That's the darkest "clear liquid" that I'll have all day.  Ugh.  If I get hungry, there are two big containers of jello in the fridge.

I did some work in the mangroves yesterday, really aggravating both shoulders using the big cranking snips over my head.  At least my shoulders match now.

In the evening we had our Randonneurs Ontario Board conference call.  I've got a bunch of to-do's.

I'd love to go for a ride today but can I do so while fasting ?   I'll have to think about that one.

Marda heads off today; Sandy will take her to the airport this morning.
