Ok, they weren't really going away parties. Last night's was the Chanukkah party - yes, they spell it with a C. The estimated turn-out was 80 people but I don't think that they quite hit 80. All the same neighbors were there plus some of Harris' biking buddies and loads of other friends. We had a good time.
I did ride, got in a southward ride with a strong east wind. It rained a little just for fun.
The TrueNorth got its first use since PBP. It's such a comfortable bike in terms of bar height and feel. I have to be gentle with the V-brakes as they grab so much more than the caliper brakes on the Litespeed.
It is more of a workout -- more wind resistance with the front bag and fenders and heavier. That knocks at least a couple of mph off my rolling speed.
Now it's time to get packed and hit the road. Can I get all these odds and ends into the trunk ? There's quite a pile of stuff in the garage.
We'll be in Orangeburg tonight, with a little luck.
SPOT will be on, once were rolling and assuming that I remember. We won't be pulling out until around noon.

It's supposed to hit 81 today in NSB and 79 in Orangeburg. I guess that I can delay wearing long pants for another day ! The forecast for Pittsburgh tomorrow is 53; Toronto on Wednesday at 42; Sudbury Thursday at 38. We don't get quite that far north but it's a good indication.
Cassie has no idea what she's in for ...
Northward !
