Feb 26 - it's shoe dependent

Apparently it's all about the shoes.  We went to the ballet last night -- Giselle -- at the Peabody in Daytona Beach, with the Moscow Ballet.  I wore dress shoes.  It's good that I don't work any more ... I couldn't walk by the end of the evening.  I didn't realize how bad it actually was ... but that doesn't change where I'm headed with this.  I don't have time for surgery, or rather I don't have time for recovery !

Earlier in the day I did ride, north and back.  I fought my way north in the wind with no reward because on the way back the wind was ESE.  Sandy was concerned that I wasn't going to make it in time for the ballet.

Sandy is looking after Jessica's birds again and now also the dog.  She's back in the hospital for a couple of days.  The birds are relatively easy -- uncover the cage in the a.m.; cover it at night.  Misha, the dog, is more of an issue.  A friend of Jessica's was supposed to take the dog but we were surprised to find him there last night when we stopped on the way back from the ballet.  A voicemail clarified things.

We have nailed things down with Shane, mostly.  Sandy is still trying to picture the paver layout but we do have a sample of each here in the backyard so that she can sign off on the colors.  We are also going to do a grill in the same fashion, i.e. pavers, granite on top and grill.  I've decided that I'll keep an outdoor sink but cap off the shower.

This is the sort of thing that we're looking at, obviously not this exactly.

Jim is supposed to tackle replacing the doors as soon as the windows are delivered; Shane is scheduled to start on or about April Fool's Day and be finished in 2-3 weeks.  We'll see.

Onward ?
