... just a little late today.
It looks like we have the final picture from the pavers people; I'm getting him to double-check one measurement next week and then we can lock this in, start work in the fall. Make that START and FINISH work in the Fall ! He has larger crews and estimates only one week to do the job. In reality, of course, it will take more like 3-4 weeks before grill countertop is complete etc. I've got some work to do before they get going; I'll allow myself a week before they kick off otherwise they'll be running me over.
I just heard back from TiCycles that the new fork that I ordered is running behind. We'll have to sort that out because it was conditional on delivery before we headed north.
... and ... I'm expecting to hear from Jim Brendel soon about when he'll do the doors=>windows conversion for the powder room and our bedroom. That's supposed to be completed before we leave.
... and ... I need to get hold of the shutters guy to talk about options as that will affect the pavers work.
Lots to do !
Sandy and I went into Orlando; me to return shoes to Performance Bike and Sandy to pick up shoes at Shooz. Cassie came along for the ride.
Once home, Cassie and I went to the sandbar so that she could run. Oh how Abby would have loved to have this boat but of course she wouldn't have been running, she'd have been prowling for minnows ! Cassie doesn't know about minnows yet. Her only interest in minnows would be if she could fetch them ...
We have a routine. When Cassie senses that we've finished eating she comes over with a toy in her mount wanting to play fetch. By the time we're finished, there are toys everywhere. Abby had a different routine -- at that same point, she would simply come over for attention, head-scratch attention. If I sat on the floor, Abby would take over my lap. Cassie, on the other hand, jumps into my lap and then gets up to bring a toy to me for ... you guessed it ... fetch. She's one fetchy dog !
Other than gym with Jessica and dinner, I think that's about it. It's hot now; the ICW temperature is about 80F and the air temperature is soaring. I'll ride again today; the heat takes some getting used to as will the cold up north. Right now there's a huge difference.
Onward ...
