Apr 5 - riding with a deadline

Ok, so neither iPhone has wireless right now.  That's progress.  I fussed and fussed and got mine working yesterday a.m. but later in the day it crapped out again.

As a result, I was late leaving for my ride.  With a deadline of 3pm, I pushed it.  Windy windy windy, it was a struggle going north but then a delight heading back south.  The trouble is that if you push too hard going into the wind, you don't have much left for the return trip.  I did make it back just after 3, however, only to see the Serene Paver guy leaving ???

Apparently he called earlier and asked if it would be ok for him to come at 2pm.  Duh.  Oh well, the workout was good for me !  A few days ago the identical ride took me 5:17; this time I did it in 4:54.  It's the first time that I've seen my average speed over 15 in a long time (15.5).  That doesn't sound like much but it's heavily weighted by half the ride into the wind.

Well, I had wireless turned off on my phone overnight as well as Bluetooth and Location Services.  This morning it miraculously connected.  Sandy's still doesn't want to connect.  Grrr.  I'll have to call Verizon to see if they have a solution.  Surely we're not the only ones with a problem !

Whoops, I turned Location Services and Bluetooth back on with my phone and guess what; now it's not connected.  Just turned them back off and it reconnected ... had a checkmark ... just lost it again.  This is really funky.   It's back on again.  No luck with Sandy's though.  I'll have to do more work on this after I get back from my session with Jessica.

Sandy picked up Lane Snapper for dinner, which was ok.  It was very fresh, apparently, but it did smell a little bit fishy, which is unusual.

That's about it.  Cassie got two walks.  Perhaps today I'll be able to get her out in the Skiff.  Time is marching on ... I have to do my taxes !

Onward !
