Most of my day was taken up going into Sudbury, stopping at Canadian Tire, then the Chiro, then Shoppers Drug Mart, then Costco, then Your Independent Grocer (known as YIG on my credit card bills), the Ugo, the barber. It was 1:30 by the time I was home.
After unloading and unpacking, I had a quick lunch and then took David wake boarding, Gavin waterskiing and Lauren and Emma tubing. The entire gang was then in the lake, all the Davies, Thompsons and one Hendrix (save Sandy and me), floating around on tubes. Jeffrey was in the kayak at first, pulling Sara and Zoe on their tubes, later went for a swim. Matthew was complaining so Sandy and I took him out in the Whaler.
The plan -- which is always fluid -- is for Jeffrey and some number of kids and adults -- to go to Science North today. They'll be back for dinner. It may be quieter here today ? Who knows :). Sandy plans to go veggie shopping in Parry Sound.
We had Peameal for dinner, aka Canadian Bacon which is rolled in corn meal. Nana fries accompanied along with peas. Lauren was happy. She must have eaten a pound of peameal and a bucket of peas. She has quite the appetite. Emma had two platefuls of fries, even after finishing her own dinner (the three little ones have eaten earlier two days in a row, with the "adults" eating later). Lauren is quite happy to be included in the adult group !
Then out came the ice cream. David had gone into town and picked up beer, minnows, worms and ice cream -- hey, all the food groups !
After things quietened down a little, Sandy and I joined Jason, Lorraine and Gavin in the gazebo.
Another day was done except that since I'd had coffee in the gazebo, I wasn't sleepy and watched some of the DNC Convention on TV in the basement. Cassie was completely done in, so she'd already gone to bed.
Onward !
